Opportunity for students to rehearse, perform and join

The Ferndown Concert Brass (sometimes known as the FCB Band) welcomes student musicians who wish to enjoy their music and improve their performance skills. You should be, at a minimum, playing to grade 5 standard or higher.

We meet every Tuesday evening for 50 weeks a year and in addition present regular concerts in and around the local area. Sometimes we travel abroad to France and Germany. The opportunity also exists to members of the band taking performance examinations that the band pays for the examination fee and any piano accompanist. Grade 8 costs about £80. This means a considerable saving (certain conditions apply).

Student membership fees…

First three months free each year. Students then pay £10 each quarter for the remainder of the year. That works out at 60p weekly!!

Open to all musicians playing brass band instruments.
